Beyond the Label provides comprehensive diagnostic evaluations and reevluations for autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other neurodevelopmental or behavioral conditions. Our assessments aim to offer clarity, support, and a path forward for children and families seeking answers.
-
An initial evaluation is a comprehensive diagnostic assessment typically done for the first time when autism or another neurodevelopmental concern is suspected.
A reevaluation is conducted when a child has already been diagnosed and a follow-up assessment is needed—for example, to update the diagnosis, assess progress, or meet educational requirements.
Reevaluations are typically required by insurance companies to access certain therapies every 2-3 years.
-
All evaluations are conducted by our experienced clinicians, Jacquelyn and Natalie—either individually or collaboratively. We combine clinical expertise with empathy, working closely with families to understand each child’s unique strengths, challenges, and needs.
-
We offer flexible service locations based on family needs, including:
In physician or county offices
In the home
Via secure telehealth
Some travel restrictions apply

What are the benefits of telehealth evaluations?
Comfort of your home environment
Reduced travel time and cost
Minimizes stress for your child
Faster scheduling and greater accessibility
Allows for observation in a familiar setting, which can support accurate diagnosis
When might telehealth not be appropriate?
An in-person evaluation may be recommended in certain circumstances (e.g., significant history of trauma or abuse, severe hearing or visual impairments). We will help determine the best evaluation method during the intake process. -
